Should I upgrade my GPU or CPU?

Hey guys, long story short I recently was able to buy a i7 5820K and a MSI X99A SLI Plus motherboard for only $100. The seller (my friends dad) was unsure of the motherboard would work but the i7 was still wrapped in a box unopened straight from Newegg.

So the question, should I update my desktop or sell the components to help buy the new GTX 1080? Thoughts?

Here is my current build.

i5-4690K @ 4.0 Ghz
ASROCK Z97 Pro4
8GB DDR3 - 1866 Gkills Ripjaws (CL9-10-9-28)
Sapphire Nitro R9 390
3x 23" 1920 x 1080 Dell LED monitors running Eyefinity (5760 x 1080)
1TB Seagate HDD
600W Thermaltake PSU

Games I usually play:
DOOM (If you haven't got this yet the single-player is amazing)
World of Warcraft
Counter-Strike:GO
Civ V

Thank you so much for any input!

Yes. If the board works, I would:
Slot in the board, CPU, RAM, and previous CPU cooler if usable, and take out the old stuff. Then sell that. AND your 390 to buy a 1080(atleast a 1070 easily). Both cards destroy the 390 AFAIR.

I thought of that... Unfortunately I am trying to spend as least amount of money as possible. I'm really unsure of how much I would need to spend especially considering I am not sure if this new Mobo works.

I actually just ordered 2x 4GB 2400 Crucial Ballistix an I should get them next week. Hopefully it will work as I already have a case and SSD laying around, but we will see how it goes!
