Hi,

I've just bought a new PC with two hard drives. The SSD works fine, has Windows installed, and is showing in My Computer and Disk Management under C. The second hard drive however, shows in the BIOS, shows in the Device Manager, but isn't under My Computer or usable. I've followed previous solutions by looking under Disk Management, but I'm not getting the option to initialize or assign a drive to it.
It shows as Online, and gives the options of "New Srtipped/Spanned Volume" and "Convert to Dynamic/MBR Disk". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

windows is seeing the disk cause its showing up in device manager, its it windows 10? do a Start search Disk management what shows in Disk Manager? I have seen where secondary disk isn't setup with proper partition type you should have them marked as type Basic and NTFS file system. From what your saying it looks like they may have set the ssd and second disk as a striped disk array possibly what are the total sizes of your disks SSD and second disk. It could be that they are mirrored and thats why you can't "see" the second disk or they could have set it up as stripped volume spanning 2 disks , that would be apparent if your SSD is say 200gig but you have 500 gig of space on pc, that means the two are tied as 1 physical drive in windows.
