Cannot seem to get new ip address with netgear c3700

I've tried to renew my ip address on my pc and iphone, but nothing happens. I keep getting the same ip address. I've also tried rebooting my router and it doesn't help.

Anyone know what's wrong? Is it related to the c3700?

It is not unusual to get the same private IP address when you renew. Your router still remembers your MAC address and gives you the same IP address. Rebooting the router gets rid of that lookup. But you could still get the same IP address if it is the first one in the DHCP range. Some routers just go linearly from the start each time. First device always gets the same IP address. Some routers are more random in the distribution throughout the DHCP range.
