This is my current setup:
Motherboard : Gigabyte G1 Sniper B5 (Intel b85 chipset)
PSU : EVGA G2 650w
CPU : Intel Core i5 4460 @ 3.2 GHz
CPU Cooler : Hyper 212 Evo
GPU : -
RAM : 8GB RAM DDR3
SDD : Crucial MX100 256 GB
HDD : SEAGATE BARRACUDA ST1000DM003 1 TB
Case : Cooler Master N300
I'm planning to buy the i7-4790k and use it at stock speed (4.4 Ghz max with Turbo Boost).
However I read that the i7-4790k can show instabilities with a b85 chipset.
Also I saw people mentioning that they had to flash their BIOS.
Will this CPU operate fine on my current setup/Motherboard ? (No overclocking)
