I'm currently building my own PC and I have to choose an operating system and I have used Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 equally as long and I still prefer windows 7, would it be bad to get windows 7? My only worry is that developers might stop making programs compatible with it. Although I have no idea what I'm talking about thats just what I'm thinking.

Personally, Win 10 Home.
But if it must be Win 7, then Win 7 Home Premium x64.

Almost anything that will run on 8.1 or 10 will also run on Win 7.
DX12 would be the main exception.
