What's the best mechanical keyboard I can get for $70-$80? I want to go for Cherry MX Brown Switches as I've heard Brown switches are the ones good for both gaming & typing. I didn't really want the clicky sound which Cherry MX Blue switches produce and Reds & Blacks are not good for typing. So I thought Brown Switches would be the ideal choice. Also, it'd be great if the keyboard has at least single color backlit LEDs if not RGB. Can't expect RGB at this price point..
I came across some of them like:
CM Storm QuickFire XT but no LEDs
Corsair K70 but quite pricey (~ $120)
Rosewill RK-9000V2 BR but no LEDs
I also liked the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2014 Elite but apparently I was skeptical to go for non-Cherry MX switches (who knows, maybe Razer Green switches turned out to be better)
The Corsair Gaming Strafe seemed to satisfy all requirements.. It is under 100 bucks, has Red LED backlit keys, Cherry MX Brown Switches, and comes from a trusted brand..
Is that a good choice? Or shall I research some more?
