Dear people!

I've been having a problem with my network:

Case.

1. I have the possibility to use 2 different wifi-adapter (2 cards) 150mbs / 450mbs
2. Ethernet possibility.

So. Whenever i lauch my computer it starts off with: no wifi connected (while the checkbox ''Auto connect'' is on.)
After i manually connect it, it kinda does ''work'' but whenever i actually start doing stuff. Internet (Through chrome) play a game (league of legends / Diablo 3 (battlenet) it just flips off and goes OFF. It starts with the ! mark followed by the x.

Clicking troubleshoot does nothing. Worst part is. I got this since the last 3 months!

Whenever the internet does work (10sec?) It jumps to 46Mbs. Which is totally fine for me.

What i tried:
Modem reset
Router reset
Pc Re-Instal
Re-instal the games
Renew ip's
Netch the DNS
Flush the DNS
Release IP
Renew IP

Bought and installed a new motherboard + cpu (Wasnt planned for the network problem, just an upgrade i had planned).

My setup:
Win 10 Pro
i5 4460 3.2ghz
8gb ram
Gigabyte Z97X-SLI-CF Motherboard
Nvidia ASUS Strix 980 GTX GPU
111GB SSD Samsung EVO 840
931 GB WD WDC SATA
298 GB WD WDC SATA

Ookla speedtest:
LAN: 40 to 60MB Download.
LAN 0 to 28MB Upload. (sometimes after the download the uploadjust wont go at all.
Wi-Fi : 0 to 18 Mbs (Fine by me) (If it works ofcourse)
Upload 0 to 29 Mbs (??) (Upload can be twice as fast as the download...) (If it works ofcourse)

Network cards:
Qualcomm Atheros AR938x Wireless Network Adapter
Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter

I'm nearly throwing this computer out of the window.
So, help is very very much appreciated.

Frustrated kind regards
The Me.

*Small update.
Whence it does turns to be working. It will only shut down whenever i Launch online games.
Can it be that my network is overflowed? And how do i ''und'' / fix that.

Thanks for your responds.

As for the Wi-Fi strength. The moment it connects it goes to the Max bars (logo displays 3, so ill say 3.) But after some time. It drops to 1 or just the Dot in the centre. After that. its the ! + x.

I changed the channel to a channel no-one is using in the area. Should be fine right? Its 7 at the moment.

Dns and wireless are not related so unless its a bug in the router wireless will not be affected.

First test with a ethernet cable to be sure your problem is actually the wireless and not some issue with your connection or router or maybe even the pc.

Although it may look like you have 11 channels you can choose and not have neighbors interfering in actuality you only have 3 and in many cases only 1. The wireless signal actually uses either 4 or 8 channels at the same time. This means the optimum points are channels 1,6,11. You also want to be sure you set your router to only use 20mhz. This means it will only use 4 rather than 8. When you have it at 40mhz it uses either the bottom 2/3 of all the channels or the top 2/3. This means 2 people will overlap on the middle if both attempt to use 40mhz.

If you have the option and can get strong enough signal try to use the 5g channels. These are 20mhz wide so unlike the 5g ones it only takes 1.....of course if you run 802.11ac that again uses multiple. It will use blocks of 4 so you have the same contention problem with neighbors.

With the poor signal you get if changing the channels to 20mhz and trying other combinations does not help I would look into powerline networks.....of course if you can run ethernet even if it is a pain I would do that.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Tried the Ethernet. Went absolutely stable. Meaning, solid 48-55 mbs.
Even after 4-5 test runs spread in 2 hrs.

But when swithing back to wireless, all the shit hits the fan, dropping to 0.5mbs.

For the router, unfirtunately it doesnt support the ac / 5 ghz signal.

I have changed the mhz from 20/40 to 20. And also to signal 1 (noone uses that either)
sadly enough it doesnt improve.

Besides that, it only occurs on this specific PC. Laptop runs fine with a 13 to 15mbs wireless.

Looking forward to a responds.

Wireless is tough because you none of the routers or nic cards will tell you actually what is going on. You need outrageous expensive spectrum analyzers to even have a clue.

With a desktop computer especially if you have PCI cards the case blocks massive amounts of signal. You need to be sure the back of the machine is facing your router. You also do not want it under a table or against a wall. Best if you could use antenna extension cable to get antennas away from the case. If yours is USB then a cheap usb extension cable helps a lot

It is hard to say it can anything. Maybe its a driver issue but I doubt it.

Its a custom build PC, all on a wooden plate. Meaning there is no metal casing for the chassis from the motherboard or a PC box. The wifi card has 3 antenna's which a free in the air.

Sadly that isnt the case. The wifi antenna's are in free air. I made a custom PC which has no case.
Older driver and the latest offer no solution sadly.

Ahh, that adds a number of new possible reasons, like interference with the unshielded pci- and cpu-bus clock or simple overheating of the wifi chip.
