Logitech c920 detected but not working with any software

Ok so I have had my webcam for a few months now and at the start it was working fine although the past while I cannot get into the logitech webcam software nor does the webcam video show up on any other programs. I get an error stating "Launcher_Main,exe" This only really happened after windows 7 auto updated to windows 10 but then I downgraded it again and everything else is fine except for this. I have tried a number of fixes including seeing if the audio devices were disabled but they weren't and I have reinstalled the software a number of times and when installing it shows like a small preview of the webcam working before asking to restart the computer so I know it is working so does anyone know a fix to this?

Right-click on it and select "Uninstall".

Make sure you get the software from Logitech's web site. If they don't have Windows 10 drivers for it, you may need to see if Windows 10 auto detects it.

Ive removed the software multiple times but it won't let me remove the webcam from the device manager, how do I do that

tried this several times; no success
Apparently it's a Windows 10 issue. All the solutions I've found online haven't worked. One said to "roll back" an update version, but apparently you can only do that for 12 days and it's been longer than that. (Currently on W10 v 1703.)
Frustrating.

I know this is an old thread, but I had the exact same issue and could not find an answer anywhere, so I thought I would post how I fixed it.

I have a c920 with Windows 10 Pro.

Install your Logitech webcam software. Go into the appwiz (add/remove programs) and find the Logitech Webcam Software. Uninstall, but during the uninstall process, you will get to select what components you want to remove. ONLY SELECT THE DRIVER!!! Finish the uninstall and your camera should work with all of your software.
