I am thinking of upgrading the cpu and motherboard of my pc, I know that I will have to reinstall windows, however I have 2 ssd's. One with the OS and one with all my games and music. Will I lose the data on the SSD with just the data and no OS?

Solution
yah the data drive will remain unchanged. only the windows drive will be effected.

to ensure nothing silly happens, install the windows ssd first and get windows running. then put the second data one in. this will keep you from doing anything random to the data drive during windows install. better safe than sorry :)

The data will still be there but you have to install everything all over again for example you had steam installed before upgrading after upgrading you need to install it again but all the games will be ready to play if you kept the steam library the same
