I'm fairly new to pc gaming and I was wondering what the best motherboard, case, and cpu combo would be for around $250-300. I'm just going to put in my parts from my current pc. I want to be able to upgrade to an i7 in the future, but for now an i5 or even an i3 would be perfectly fine. I'll be transferring the CX600W PSU, RAM, HDD, and GTX 750 Ti into the new mobo. Thanks for all the help!

Yes. It is very upgradable. You could pair it with a GTX 1080 and likely only some games would be mildly CPU limited.
Assuming that you don't need an overclocking MB, this would be nice though a bit out of budget:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($194.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H170-GAMING 3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($77.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($47.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $320.96
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The MB is currently on sale. You could get a cheap case if you really need it in budget.

Thank You for all your help! If I get this mobo, cpu, and case and upgrade the GPU later down the road, would this be a decent system I could play AAA titles on for the next few years?
