My computer suddenly became slow when i was playing a game

So my computer is usually pretty fast when it comes to gaming but for some reason it has become very slow only when i play games it cant even get over 3 fps which is very strange i have tried most things like updating windows 10 and updating all my software like my graphics drivers also i have run a antivirus scan on my whole computer but still nothing has helped fix it also my specs are here : Intel core i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.50Ghz, 8 GB RAM , Nvidia gtx 850m

It's overheating and is slowing down the clock speeds of the CPU/GPU to reduce heat generation and prevent damage.

Laptops over time build up dust inside of them that causes this and isn't there when you first buy them.

thanks so much man i opened up the whole thing vacuumed it and put it back together and im back for my 60 fps thanks heaps for the help man
