I have an Asus Maximus VII Hero thats not showing any sign of life except for the on board LED lights. Under the Z97 southbridge cooler I found a burnt component. Can someone identify the the blown part in the pictures and could that burnt component cause the whole board to die? I would appreciate any info and help you can give me. Thank you

The board in question,

Let me elaborate a little, I'm just looking for an Identification of the burnt component/part on the mobo. I already know the mobo is no good, i'm not trying to fix it, I'm just trying to learn more about the board and possibly what caused the part to fail.
I found some pictures of the part and what it looks like.. "a1t" anybody know?

yeah - but i have no technical drawing of this board - ASUS should have - raising a precise question to the support - asking clearly - what part i burned on the picture - you might get a sufficient answer :-/

I did all that with Asus support, Rog forum and here.. well except for the part about "what part i burned on the picture" as thats what i'm trying to find out. :-/

edit: seem s to be A1t instead of alt - so it seems to be a diod -> http://www.rapidonline.com/pdf/47-0850.pdf
