Hi, I was gaming and then randomly the screen kept going black (but a signal was still detected by the monitor) and it became more and more frequent. Not only that but it also sometimes shakes and becomes a crazy pattern of pixelated lines that change colour and shift around.
Steps I've taken so far:
1. Removed GPU and tested from motherboard - this resulted in a different boot. Instead the screen was never clearly visible and is either black or filled with pixelated lines.
2. Taking out each ram and trying different slots - this didn't appear to change anything.
3. Wiggle around display cable - doesn't change anything.
It doesn't appear to be the monitor because there seems to be patterns when it becomes it's worst. For example once I reach the desktop it always becomes virtually unusable.
My suspicion is that it is the motherboard but I need to find out exactly if it is before I replace it.
Edit: I'll try and write all the specs that I know.
PSU: corsair rm750i
Motherboard: gigabyte GA b85m-d3h-a
GPU: nvidia geforce 760 gtx
Ram: 2x 4gb corsair vengeance
