I have a i7 6800k and msi x99a sli plus and the motherboard has a old bios. So now my bios doesn't open with this cpu. So I need to update it, in order to make this cpu work.
well look for the cheapest cpu that supported under all bios buy it use it to flash and then sell it on e-bay to recoup your money back on the un needed chip ??
ask around some computer shops to see if they got a supported chip you can get used cheap or just allow you to use it to flash ?
pcparts picker shows this as the lowest priced one that supported under ''all'' bios
''Then you made a mistake by buying parts that are not entirely compatible''
well its not like you know what bios your board going to ship with but one lesson I know is allways buy the best chip supported under first release or all bios then your safe ,, one thing you can all ways...
if its a unsupported cpu under the bios you got you may need a ''supported'' cpu under the bios you got now in order to boot up and flash to the supporting bios you need for the unsupported chip you want to use

Who would lend me a supported chip, is there any other way?
1. Use your old CPU to update the BIOS, then install the new CPU.
2. Get whoever sold you the parts to do it, if they are new.
3. Borrow a Haswell-E from a friend to update the BIOS

I directly bought broadwell-e.
My retailer said he can't open a new cpu box for me.
None of my friends own a haswell-e.

Do you have friends with access to University equipment?
Is there a repair facility where you might get access to a Haswell-e?
RMA the motherboard or replace it.
