Now I know a single card with similar performance is always the better option for temperature and it stops the issue with games not having multi-GPU support, BUT I already own a 970 and I bought it quite recently so it seems like a bit of a waste to be replacing it so soon and my friend who is upgrading has offered me the card for between £50-£75 so I was looking for opinions on whether I should sell my current 970 and buy the new 1070 or just go SLI? and it would be great if someone could find a comparison of benchmarks with the two GPU solutions.. Thanks!
