Will this cooler (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/yFdFf7/arctic-cooling-cpu-cooler-ucacoap112gbb01) be able to cool a 6700 (non k)? Thank you.

Solution
The cooler you linked in your first post will be sufficient. jdcranke07 is incorrect when they say that "Cooler temps = better performance no matter if you overclock or not." Unless your CPU is throttling, temperature is completely irrelevant to performance.

I would get a hyper 212 evo but I cant overclock this cpu -.-

The hyper 212 EVO is decent for overclocking, but will still keep the CPU cooler. Cooler temps = better performance no matter if you overclock or not.

If you are worried about price why not just use the stock cooler that comes with the 6700? The arctic is just a waste of money.

My I7 6700 didnt come with a cooler. I just want a cooler that will provide enough cooling for the i7.

That's a power supply not a cpu cooler.

Must have bought the OEM version(usually slightly cheaper than retail but has no cooler and a much shorter warranty). The arctic would work but its going to have similar flows to the stock cooler. It's going to get loud when under load and the cpu is going to run on the warm side. The m9i is about the cheapest aftermarket cooler I would consider. You just spend what £200+ on that i7, but are going to balk at £18 for a good cooler?

I've already squeezed my budget to it's limits, it's pretty much all I have space for.
