Slow Download speed (50kb/s - 1mb/s)

My ISP is one of the fastest in my area at 60 mbps download and 5 mbps upload which should be around 7.5 mb/s download. I would expect at least 3 mb/s average but normally get <1mb/s. I'm not on a wired connection because I would have to get a 30ft+ ethernet cable which I would have to run along the floor which would be very annoying. Any way I could improve this? I have switched to a wireless channel nobody else is using 11.

Yes, you plug the the Ethernet cord from the router to the 1st adapter and same thing on the 2nd adapter for the device. Took me less than 5 minutes to set it up. Yes, that is a powerline in that link.

First you need to confirm that you're actually getting the speeds you pay for via wire.
It might not be your wifi at all, could be a bunch of other things.
Plug your PC into the router, what are your download speeds?

Also, what are you downloading that you realistically expect those kinds of speeds? Very few companies offer up that kind of bandwidth. Outside of Torrenting and Steam i don't think those speeds are common.

The download speeds that I put in the title are from steam. But I plugged an ethernet cable to my laptop and got 61.77 Down and 4.33 Up

It could be the position of your wireless router vs where you are using your devices. Make sure it's not near large metal objects (metal filing cabinets, etc.).

Also what band are you using? The 2.4Ghz band will go further and thru walls, but 5Ghz is faster.

Wireless settings should be: Wireless N Only (not legacy or mixed), and WPA2 security, with AES encryption. You already chose another channel, but you can set channel to 'auto' and your router should find the least congested.

Check to see if there's a firmware update available for your router, that could help also.

If you're still having problems with WiFi then I highly recommend that you try using powerline. The technology was created not run 30 feet of Ethernet cable across the floor. It uses your wall power outlets in the house to pass data from router to the device from across the house. I have mine about 30 meters away and speeds are very close to an Ethernet connection.
