Mouse freaks out when accelerating too quickly

My SteelSeries Rival 300 worked normally until today, when I notices that whenever I tried to change the direction of the mouse quickly (stand-still to moving, moving left to moving right) it seems to want to do what I want it to, but will wiggle in place for about a second before actually going the right way, by which time I've run out of mousepad space.
I've tried it in all the motherboard USB ports, and have no acceleration turned on.
This is seriously annoying.

Solution
To reinstall the drivers you need to visit the SteelSeries' website.

Start here:

https://steelseries.com/support

Using the model number look for the applicable support or download pages. Look and read carefully. Some drivers may be used by multiple products within the product line.

Find the Windows 10 (?) 64 bit drivers. Download and install per the manufacturer's instructions. The instructions should be in the User Guide/Manual. Or perhaps some "Quick Start" document. Occasionally just on the webpage so you may be able to print that out.

Any known system changes: hardware or software?

Doublecheck any mouse controls that are available. Set and set back perhaps.

Otherwise reinstall the drivers.

And/or try the mouse on a different computer. See if the problem travels with the mouse.
