Hey there.
I bought a brand new pc in December, and ever since ive played a lot of new games on highest details with no problems. One time there was some kind of noise from the fan, which a friend solved by replacing and lubricating the bearings. Everything was okay until recently, when the fan started making very fast rattling, clicking noise. I first noticed it when playing WoW, which is kinda strange considering ive been playing games with much better graphics before and this sound was never there. That leads me to thinking that maybe its not by the fan going faster than before, rather than that it might be dying on me.
Ive looked up the reviews for the card on a couple of shops and some people indeed said that the fan is making a rattling noise when the card is under pressure, but it didnt sound like it was that big of a deal, since this was said in reviews that were very positive and those people didnt say anything about sending it back.

So what im wondering is, should i be worried? Can the card die on me if the fan just breaks somehow? Do i need to replace the fan or should i just overlook it? Any feedback will be much appreciated, the more the better, thank you.

Update: found a video with pretty much the same noise that im experiencing (low volume) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vw1Purrsshg

Hello... NVidia GPU's are "Solid State devices"... and are well made and tough... If it get too hot, the program or windows will shut down before damage... OK?

The FAN How ever is made of LOW COST materials and is a "Mechanical Device" all mechanical devices will wear out and fail... I have changed a lot of fan/cooling systems on GPU"s... It IS the Only part that will wear out on it B )... So it IS typical maintenance of your Product that needs to be maintained and looked after.

What are your TEMPs right now?... USE this small APP to watch the temperatures and Fan speeds... I can provide additional comments to you if you post them OK? B /

No other suggestions? PLEASE, im really desperate. All i can do now without risking the fan to die is just browse the internet. I cant even really work, since the programs i use also put some strain on GPU after some time and the fan starts to rattle again. A brand new pc worth 800 dollars and i cant use it.
Someone please at least tell me if i should worry about it or just ignore it.

Its still under warranty, but id like to solve this myself ASAP if possible... Or can you at least just tell me if its dangerous to just let it rattle like that and ignore it?

Hello... The GPU Fan is important, and is needed... the noise to your Ears you don't need... B O
It is going to cost 1-way shipping out of your pocket for RMA and could take over a week? AND you might get the same problem all over again?

1) I just wanted you to keep in mind your time period and USE of RMA with your product.
2) I would give them a E-mail, so the Company is aware of this problem... from your perspective... you know, speak up and report how you feel about the problem/product... and how it bothers you... be nice and polite.
3) Maybe in 2-6 months...when your ready to send yours in... they will have a NEWER and Better ""replacement-FAN" for you, because you spoke up NOW... get it? Let them know about the problem, Give them time to fix the Fan problem, before you send yours in for a New one. B )

Ok, thanks. But could you please answer the question from before, can it just somehow get loose or i dont know, stop working and make the GPU overheat and die? Or somehow shortcircuit my pc? Again, for the third time, can anything go wrong if i just overlook it?
