Laptop is it ok to have different ram mhz?

i have a MSI GP Series GP60 Leopard Pro-825 and i dont know what the mhz is. I have a crucial 4gb 1600 and was wondering if it was ok to have different clock speed?

As long as the laptop supports the slower speed memory module, it will work. The faster memory will just be slowed down to match the speed of the slower memory.

ok. is it also ok to have different ram like 1x8gb and 1x2gb
