This is my first time building a computer. All the parts come on Thursday so I will build on Saturday. Someone at work said I would need to buy SATA cables which I didn't know I needed. He also mentioned get wrist bands to prevent static.

So I am getting 2: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00552PK80/ref=ox_sc_...
And 2: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00552PDCS/ref=ox_sc_...

I'm also getting 2 static wrist bands for my girlfriend and me.

Are there any other things I will need to build a computer? I believe my fan comes with the compound (that I just learned about). I have some regular screwdrivers. I would hate to be excited to build the computer and then realize I missed a part. Also, any suggestions for resources for first time builders?

Thank you!!!

As mentioned above, you shouldn't need to buy the extra sata cables. Your motherboard comes with 10, thats plenty.

I'd consider waiting for some other brands to come out with better cooling / higher clocks than the founders edition myself.

But it looks like you have everything you need. That's going to be an amazing system, enjoy!
