Hello,

So I just upgraded to BIOS F9 for the motherboard mentioned in the title. I used server from @BIOS to do the upgrading. After the upgrade, I no longer see the Gigabyte logo when booting only pitch black then skips to the windows logo loading, and then logs me in. After that I can't click on any file explorer such as: Task bars, and normal windows I open using my keyboard. Yes I can use my keyboard to navigate but I can't click on any file explorer items (I can click and drag icons though). Any thoughts on how I can resolve this issue? Also the motherboard error counter shows random crazy numbers then ends up on "A0".

Thank you in advance!

I can access the BIOS, but find what exactly? Also will reinstalling the BIOS F9 do any good?

reinstalling the "default" bios file. If you are using M-Flash method, you should get it reinstall. Factory bios perform the best, newer bios doesn't always work better even at some case it will destroy the bios itself.

Can you tell me what M-flashing is? As I'm not familiar with updating BIOS that much. I did use @BIOS, so is there any ways I can utilize that program again to reinstall the default? Or can I do that from the BIOS itself?

If your board support M-Flash, you will get this problem done istantly
M-Flash is an option for bios to restore/update bios system from a USB flash drive.
Use a USB Sticks and find a default bios file from the official motherboard site, get in to the bios and flash your bios. remember, this is extremely risky solution because flashing bios would cause to corrupt the bios itself if you are not succesfully done.

I see, and would this be the only method to resolving my current issue?

Yea, instead of doing RMA, because many of motherboard manufater doesn't even recommend a bios update, thus it will also break a warranty services.

You may also reset the bios manually, by doing load default settings, but im pretty sure it won't work because your bios seems to be corrupted.

I called up Gigabyte, and they said if the BIOS was corrupt then I wouldn't make it to the OS, and I would have a black screen, and they said it's an issue with the software?

Yea they meant software from Windows 10. I also agree as the issue occurred only after the update. So I should attempt to reinstall F3?
