Hello there! I am an amateur computer builder with only 1 build under his belt that is now 2+ years old and still going strong, but could be much stronger. I built it using a gaming PC guide from Corridor Digital (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tN6CSReC70E) with some slight changes and minor upgrades.
I graduated last month and am heading off to college for Game Design in the fall, so I wanted to make sure my computer was up to high level tasks and gaming.
My current specs are:
Motherboard:
Asus M5A 78L-M USB3
CPU:
AMD FX 8-Core Processor Black Edition
CPU Cooler:
Zalman CNPS9500A Led
GPU:
Sapphire HD 7870 GHz Edition
RAM:
Patriot Viper Xtreme DDR3 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-12800 1600MHz
PSU:
EVGA 600W Bronze
I plan to upgrade the GPU to a GTX 1070 as soon as they become more available. Other than that, I was hoping the collective might of the internet might be able to shed some light on other useful hardware upgrades? I have not yet delved into overclocking, but I may in the future.
