Hello everyone!

I have this peculiar problem I have spent hours trying to solve, with no avail. So guys, please help me - you are my only hope.

The Problem
When I start PC or disconnect and re-connect to my home Wi-Fi, the speed is always as it should be. However, over time (20 seconds to 20 minutes) the speed decreases significantly. I start with 20 Mbits and end up with 2 Mbits... if I am lucky. This makes playing games, comfortable surfing or downloading impossible.

My specs
Windows [Version 10.0.10586]
Motherboard LENOVO - SKYBAY - SDK0J40709 WIN 3259588129374
Processor i5 6600 Intel and PSU 450 W
Wireless should be Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4 Wireless Network Adapter and Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. (not sure which one, ask for specific info - no idea what you guys need).
Comtrend VR-3026e v2 with latest firmware, O2 telefonica ISP, cable (not sure about specifics as it is the internet in an apartment I have long-term rent in)

Additional info
- All drivers should be up-to-date. Adapter should have manufacturer's driver, not one from Microsoft, unless the last update re-wrote it. I have tried reinstalling them.
- At the moment of testing, only one PC is connected, usually it is 2 PCs and top is 2x PCs, 2 notebooks and 2 cells, but that rarely happens. My goal is 2 PCs to run just fine. The other PC has the same problem (and is exactly the same machine).
- This is NOT an ISP problem. My notebook (also on win 10) does not have this problem.
- I get no errors. When I run troubleshooting, it comes off clean.
- I have reinstalled firmware and rebooted the route (helped for a few minutes)
- Signal strength is great. It runs on 2,4 and channel 1.
- According to Task Manager - Performance - WiFi there is no traffic (few kbs, unimportant).
- No application runs on background (no torrents, no steam downloads, orogin, battlenet...) or at least nothing I could think of. Not even OneNote or OneDrive.
- I have disabled Peer to peer updates, geo location, power-saving on router and power-saving on wireless PC.
- I have tried disabling antivirus (Avast) for some time. Did not help. Same goes for windows firewall. I have disabled windows defender.
- I experience this problems everywhere - steam, gaming, streaming, firefox and chrome...
- WiFi connection type is private network&

If you need to know anything else, I will gladly write it. Mind that I am not an expert user, so please ask plainly.

Thank you for your time - all the help is greatly appreciated, for I am totally out of ideas.

Solution
here is one suggestion. Get an access point, move your router closer to your pc, and move the access point around as you like. With 20 euros or something you solved everything and you will have a more efficient network ;)

Is your notebook ok if you connect it with the same lan cable? If yes, then i can suspect your ethernet card or motherboard is either faulty or overheating. Install a program like speccyy and monitor your temp. If temps are ok, then i would buy an ethernet card, it should cost around 15 euro.

Actually, cable works fine for notebook and for the PC as well. However, I need to move the router sometimes, so I need to fix Wi-Fi connection of the PC.

Temperatures are fine and since the PC is new without any other problem, I think motherboard is ok, too.

Yes and no, I have lots of reasons, living in a rented flat and not being allowed to drill holes for the cable is one of them. And I have to move the router from time to time to get better coverage in the kitchen (I like to watch GoT when I cook) or closer to the balcony when I sit outside. The internet itself is quite slow, so the Wi-Fi is not really a bottleneck - I do not care if my download is 2,5 MB/s with cable or 2,0 MB/s with Wi-Fi but I care if it is 2,0 MB/s or 20 KB/s, hence this thread.

Well, that would fix the problem. Not really solve it, but fix it. I think I will give it a try. Thanks.
