I found this kingston value ram labelled as 1x16gb ddr4

http://www.lazada.sg/kingston-value-memory-16gb-ddr4-2133-cl15-non-ecc-12v-desktop-memory-4983497.html

And on the same store another set of so called gaming ram 2x8 gb kit

http://www.lazada.sg/corsair-vengeance

Even though the latter is running at a little higher clock than the value ram its costing two times the Kingston value RAM.

Is something fishy? Like ddr3 in disguise?
Or is there something that is legitimately making the value RAM cheap .

I have always found that corsair ram vs any other manufacture if you match up there specs the same, Corsair always has a higher price.

Ive been a Mushkin fan for the past 7 years now, on my last build i picked up 2133Mhz CL9 ram from corsair and mushkin. Gaming wise i could not tell a difference between the two and only in synthetic benchmarks could i see a couple points of difference between the two, and even then they would trade blows on the same tests run back to back.

It really comes down to what Mhz and CL# your looking for. "gaming" ram is just a gimmick to charge you more money for the ram.
The gaming market is full of 'perceived' benefit. If it looks flashy and costs more, it must be better, right? ;)

Add a 5pence heatsink and a 2pence set of lights and add £20 to the cost. The value RAM is fine, if you get identical speeds and latency it won't be any different and often has the same warranty length. Obviously if you are comparing 2133 to 2666 for example there will be a performance difference, but probably down to 1-2fps in games.

Your second link didn't work, so I don't know if you are comparing like-for-like
