Hi guys, so im an advertising arts student. I need help on specs I need to consider when buying a laptop on my course needs. I'm aware I need atleast 8gb memory and a great video card but idk which is better, Nvidia or ADM or Intel. Softwares needed are the following:

Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash or Animate, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Those only are what Im sure of, but i think there are other softwares too that i dont know.
No gaming btw. Budget is around 700-850 USD.

Thank you! :)

The best you can afford with
Intel i7 HQ series, 16GB ram min / 32 recommended (might be cheaper to start with 4/8 and install 32 yourself), Dual dive availability (Cheaper to add your own secondary drive usually), Dedicated Nvidia Graphics

If you want an editing rig you can just simply forget laptops. You will find yourself spending heaps of cash for thermal throttled components, and when it comes down to price/performance it will be put to shame by pcs at 1/3rd of the cost. It is virtually impossible to calibrate laptop monitors to decent printing, or any standards for that matter.

To start you off we need to know the budget you are willing to spend, you are basically looking for the biggest meanest CPU slapped on an SSD. There is no need for a top end gpu for the software you plan to use. So far only few processes use cuda cores, so you can slip off with a gtx950/960. I can tell you from work experience that 16gb of ram is plenty to start off with unless you are also planning to directly print from your rig (I do not think you will). 250gb SSD for OS + the adobe suit + rest is scratch space, other stuff you can store on a second cheaper HDD.

.. buuut we need to know your budget and what will you be producing exactly. :)

/ Hi! I think it has to be a laptop because i'd be bringing it to school every now and then. My budget is at 700-850 USD. I'm not really sure what I will be producing yet, i just asked a friend which is a 2 years ahead of me what softwares we are about to use. :)
Ps, I'm from the Philippines.
