Comcast cable, 25 Mbs package.
Motorolla modem, TP-Link router. Neither has wifi built in; no wifi on this setup, just ethernet cables.
Desktop -- Windows 7, "MB ASROCK|990FX KILLER ATX R Configurator" motherboard (can't even link to it on Newegg, as they apparently stopped selling it). It has the "Killer e220" ethernet controller. This desktop is barely over a year old, and only gets occasional use.
Laptop -- Windows 8 Acer Aspire v17 Nitro
I have 2 different ethernet cables.

The problem
:

Sunday night I was running internet into my laptop, and then into my TV via HDMI cable. At the same time I was gaming on my desktop. (both hooked up to the router) Everything seemed fine.

The next day, the desktop wasn't getting internet.

I removed the router, and hooked the desktop directly to the modem.

I disconnected/reset the modem. Only some websites would load. More secure sites, like PayPal or my business shopping cart, will not load. (However some of the sites that do load still have the "https" secure address) This site will not load on the desktop.

However my laptop still got internet, after resetting the modem again and hooking it up.

Tried both ethernet cables on the desktop, still would not load most sites.

Talked w/ Comcast, they ran tests, claimed everything was fine from their end, I was getting a signal etc, but they would send someone today. (Also had me reset Firefox. I also used CCleaner to clear all temp files). Still limited connectivity / only some pages would load, most would time out.

Last night I decided to uninstall the "Killer Network Manager." After that, my desktop seemed able to load every webpage, no problem.

Woke up this morning, and AGAIN the desktop will not load most pages, limited connectivity, etc. Device manager says the Killer e220 is "working properly."

The Comcast guy arrives, says I'm getting no internet signal. (then how was I getting internet last night just fine, and still on the laptop just fine?) He went outside, said a cable was disconnected. Came back in, said signal was fine.

And here I am, typing this on my laptop, because my desktop still will not load pages. As of now, it has the yellow triangle / exclamation mark over the network icon in the task manager. That desktop is a business computer. It's needed to fill orders. I now may have to leave this laptop here for my employees to run the business just cause it can't open most pages (I have to fly out in a few days).

Why can't I load most web pages?

Also, would I just uninstall the ethernet driver, then reinstall... or do the whole motherboard? If so, not sure how to reinstall every driver on the motherboard.

Ok thanks, this SEEMS to have worked... Those drivers actually reinstalled the Killer Network Software. Upon restart, I got a BSOD, then it went straight to Startup Repair, which couldn't complete. After that, everything seemed alright. (it totally wiped all my Firefox info for some reason)

Then again, it seemed to work fine last nite, until this morning! Hopefully this fixes it!
