Hi, I just built a new computer which was a huge upgrade from my old one. The only components I kept from my old rig was my 2 harddrives (A 120GB ssd and a 500GB hdd) and my PSU (650W Modular PSU from fractal design).

I've had this new rig for about 2 days now and 2 times my computer has just shut down while i've been playing Overwatch. After the shutdown I get into bios and it says something like "Power surges was detected during your last session" So my question is if my power supply is too weak and making my computer shut down?

Here's my computer specs:

Intel core i5 6600K 3.5GHz, 6MB, Socket 1151
be quiet! PURE ROCK 150W TDP CPU fan
MK Asus Z170 PRO GAMING ATX
ASUS STRIX GTX970 4GB 1114MHz
Corsair 16GB (2-KIT) DDR4 3000Mhz Vengeance
NZXT H440 Silent Ultra
ASUS Xonar essence STX Sound card
1x 120 GB ssd and 1x500GB hdd (these are old)
Fractal Design 650W modular PSU (This one is like 5 years old and has been working hard ever since I got it.)

Let me know if you see something obvious I missed to include! Thanks!

Solution
May be your power supply is getting old. Post the actual model of it. 650w is more than enough for your pc, but assuming that power supply can deliver the rated wattage.
Also if you can, check with a good power supply (borrow from someone) if the problem remains.
