It depends on how much software you intend to install on OS drive.
Windows, MsOffice plus few small programs will use around 40-50GB of storage space.
First thing to get is, where you will put OS - that is SSD.

Obvious question which operating sytem and version
If you start with win 7 then upgrade to Win 7 with service pack 1 then get free upgrade to 10 you will find a lot of space used by windows.old which can be removed by disk cleanup
Similar with 8 to 8.1 then 10
I have XP and 7 on a 120 GB SSD and a 1 TB hard drive for data
I think nowdays for long term use a 240 GB SSD is needed if you dont get a hard disk as well
At the other end of the scale i have a tablet with win 8.1 home (32 bit) and 30 GB SSD which has a 9 GB recovery partition
There is no room for an upgrade to win 10 so i booted off a win 10 dvd in an external usb drive erased the partitions and did a clean install of win 10 home (32 bit )
