I'm researching what "should be" about my final computer build: for Virtual Reality.
1. Anyway to tell if/when the onboard video will be disabled if/when installing a video card? This info almost never appears in the posted specs. Must I call the manufacturer?
2. About the same with USB ports. I use a lot of them. Just found out that some/many of the usb connectors on a motherboard actually share the same bandwidth/hub. When a motherboard states "6" usb connectors, how can I tell how many are full bandwidth?
Of interest re VR==most systems show expensive MB's...but it seems to me all one needs is a board that supports the cpu and the video card (about half the price!). Most MB these days tout the Three Active Video Ports...but if they get disabled with the video card...who needs them?
