Black screen new graphics card

Hi guys. I'm very new to upgrading my pc. Basically bought one on eBay a while back. Decided I'd upgrade my graphics card to amd r9 380. Swapped it in and tried to turn on and got black screen. Followed instructions from a thread to unintelligible old drivers so did that. Now new ones won't install. It's like it's not picking the new one up. I don't have any extra power to the gpu with regards to the 2 six pin slots,could this be why? Also won't install the drivers off the disk provided.

Please help

Make sure the hdmi/vga cord is plugged in. Also try run it on intergrated gpu to see if it may be any other hadware.

Hdmi is in fine. Ran ok on integrated gpu. Wont install any drivers. It's like it's not picking up the graphics card. The lights come on for it but no fans running in it. Could this be to the 2 6oin power slots for it as I don't have them plugged in as if yet as need to pick up the cables tomoro? Thankyou for replying by the way. We all start somewhere haha
