Hello I currently have a gtx 960 and monitor 1080p 60hz tn

I have a few options...

1.) Get 1440p 144hz with my 960 (and play games that are ok with it)
2) get gtx 1080 with my 1080p monitor and max out everything but also be overkill for many games that i have

3) Get another 2 1080p monitors to have an advantage on many games that I play with my 960

( I play LoL,cs go, gta v, bf4,battlefront,

If the RX 480s are as fast as rumored a 480 or 480x and a 1440p monitor maybe a good option. But you will have to wait a couple weeks till the 480 releases.

the 960 is not going to be very good at 1440p. i'd say that is not the best idea unless you're willing to drop settings a lot.

maybe compromise and go for a 1070 and then upgrade to 1440p down the road some. or just get the 1080 now and do the same later on with 4k as an option as well if those prices come down.

that's why i suggest a 1070 now which is pretty well priced and then get 1440p down the road when funds are available. it's just that the 960 is good for single 1080p gaming on most games. you're just trying to ask it to do too much.

you can look for some benchmarks but the ones i have seen for triple 1080p on a 960 have not been very positive. perhaps those games can do it, you'll have to research that

yup hard to come by right now. gonna be a few weeks before they are readily available. just the nature of a new release. always like this right off when everyone wants to jump right in on day 1. gives you time to do some research and decide what is best.

if you want info on the 1070 and 1080 crads, look here. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3047729/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1000-series-megathread-faq-resources.html models, specs, reviews and anything else of interest to give you an idea what they can do.

amd also has 3 new cards coming out on the 29th. worth the wait there as well to see what they can do. will be cheaper for sure and might be enough to do what you want at a better price. should have reviews and cards out then. 460, 470 and 480 coming out then
