Use of both Power Connectors 6 pin + 8 pin for GTX 1070?

Hey guys! I have a GTX 970 Strix right now that uses a 8 pin power connector but ill upgrade to the MSI 1070 gaming when it comes out. Was just wondering if i need to use both 6 pin and 8 pin connections for that card? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you will need to use both connectors for a card that had a 8 pin and a 6 pin.

100% need to use a 8+6pin, and if your Power supply dosen't have with the needed cables its a good sign it won't keep up

You will always need to use whatever connectors come with the card.

you must use the blue jacks on the PSU, but yes you don't need to use both the 6 and 2 pin, you can leave the 2 pin hanging if need be
