So I have just downgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 7 on my laptop

my laptop is an HP G6-2248ca

Windows is installed and the pc is running fine, but I am having trouble finding the drivers i need to make some of the stuff work on the computer, like the volume up and down keys and the Ethernet port.

I started by doing all of the windows updates...
and then followed by doing the AMD drivers from auto detect program here.. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

I am looking for any help/links to where I can find some drivers for my laptop.

Thanks, Mat

the built in NIC is a Realtek and drivers can be found here for win 7
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

the wireless can be either Qualcomm Atheros QCA9000

or
Mediatek 802.11 Wireless LAN Adapter

Thanks, I'll let you know how that goes. As for those other two links they just take me to the generic HP Software and Drivers page

Realtek one worked, Ethernet is working now. I believe all of my USB ports are working, far as i can tell the only physical thing not working is the volume up and volume down, which could be hard to fix you said. I'm wondering if there are other drivers I still need though

Under "other devices" it has "PCI device" with a yellow caution sign, seems to be missing drivers

In device manager I currently have 2 things under sound, video and game controllers.... AMD Hick Definition Audio Device and High Definition Audio Device.

Should i just leave those? or unistall them before getting the other audio driver?

Alright, all downloaded all problems seem fixed, minus the last one. That audio driver doesn't seem to have come up in the Device manager and the sound has not improved, sounds kind of low quality as it is. Also should anything i've downloaded give me something like Realtek HD Sound Manager? because i don't have anything like that

UPDATE ****I tried to install it again and said it did not support the hardware****
