Will a Graphics card with support of PCI express 3.0x16 work on mother board with support of PCI express 2.0x16?

I am going to buy a graphic card which supports PCI express 3.0 x16 slots but my motherboard has support only to PCI express 2.0x 16 slot. Will the graphics card work on my mother board?

Yes.
PCIe are backward compatible.
You can put a PCIe 3.0 card in PCIe 2.0/1.0 slot and you cna put 2.0/1.0 card in PCIe 3.0 slot.
It will work perfectly fine.

Also there is no loss of performance. Video cards don't use all the bandwidth of PCIe 2.0 yet anyway. PCIe 3.0 does give extra bandwidth for Crossfire or SLI without bridge cables.

The performance difference is marginal.

You are unlikely to notice any performance decrease at all.
