Hi, i'm buying the ASUS A88X-PLUS motherboard with AMD A10-7870K 3.90ghz CPU and i was wondering if someone can help choose the correct model of RAM for this because i see so many options in frequency, cas latency, dual channel, triple channel, voltage.... it's a freaking nightmare.

What will you be doing with the rig? Are you getting a GPU? which one? How much DRAM are you looking for? Initial thoughts would be GSkill Ripjaws X or Snipers in 2133/9 or 10 in 2x4GB or 2x8GB. Both lines of DRAM work very well with AMD rigs ;)
Select a kit of DIMMs at the frequency and ram size your MB supports from the ASUS QVL. All the ones listed are tested by ASUS to ensure compatibility.
Go here and download the appropriate QVL: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/A88XPLUS/HelpDesk_QVL/
Corsair and G.Skill are very good modules.
Your CPU is Kaveri and supports up to 2133MHz.

Hi, thanks for your answers. I need no more than 10-12gb so i will be buying a stick of 8 and a stick of 4 of the same specs. I won't buy a GPU because the integrated one is perfectly fine for me.

Asus support page was very helpful, thank you!

I think i need to go with 2133MHz because higher frequencies as the specs say, are only supported with overclocking which i'm not interested in doing. Will 2133MHz and CL 11 be fine for this motherboard/cpu in terms running as fast as possible?

You may have issues if you mix kits, even of the same spec. Don't do it Pavlis.
Primary Timings are important for stability but negligible in terms of gaming performance.
Use the SPD info from CPUz for timings and voltage.
