So recently I tried to overclock my X4-760K to get 3-5 fps more in games. I tried to overclock from 3.9GHz to 4.1 with turbo boost overclock from 4.1 to 4.4 and then my PC couldn't even start, fan went full speed and didn't boot at all. Then I restarted it several times and the message pops up saying "overclock failed" and it reseted everything to defaults. No PC runs well thank god, but I get 25-30 fps in GTA 5 when I used to get about 35-40 fps. Whats wrong?

You had an unstable OC that's all. If you increase your clock frequency you must increase CPU core voltage.
