I have an asus m5a99fx and I'm installing the hyper 212 evo. The instructions show that the AMD standoffs and the intel standoffs. The intel ones have a flat spot on the threads that fit into the back plate one way. Well the AMD ones do not. Will I be fine using the intel ones on my amd motherboard?

Already did that. The AMD ones won't fit into the back plate because they don't have the flat spot. I went ahead and assembled it with the intel ones and is working like a charm. They hold the cooler down well enough that Its not gonna move anywhere

I've watched about every video there is. The point is the stand offs I have don't have the flat spot in the threads on the amd standoffs. So they don't fit into the holes that require a flat spot so they fit in one way.
Besides the intel ones work better and they are tight enough to where the cooler doesn't move.
