Hard drive constantly making noise even on idle

I think it only recently started to do this all the time. Before it would only make the noise when it was reading/writing. I ran HD Sentinel and HDD Guardian and they both say the drive is perfect. I also defragged the drive and it made no difference. It's a 1TB Seagate ST1000DM003. The red light on the case blinks once every 3 seconds on idle give or take, as opposed to turning solid when the hard drive is busy. Also I've had the noise go away for a few minutes a couple of times.

I also have a 250GB Crucial CT250BX1 SSD on the same computer, but the OS is on the Seagate. I'm on Windows 10.

Please refer to the hyperlink in my previous post where you should find a Tom's Hardware discussion with some brand-specific and third-party diagnostic utilities that are specifically designed to determine the health and S.M.A.R.T. status of your mechanical hard drive. Viruses/Malware might have nothing to do with this, especially if you are dealing with a physical hardware damage on the HDD. My recommendation is to backup all your files somewhere else (off-site - e.g. external HDD) before proceeding with the troubleshooting. If your HDD is failing, you should definitely get in touch with the reseller's/manufacturer's customer support as I already suggested.

This video presents how the HDD should sound normally. It might be a bit louder than expected, but that how it sounds normally. I'd recommend you backup all your data from the drive somewhere off-site because it will keep your peace of mind. Once you do that, I suggest you reseat the connections inside your rig and make sure everything is mounted properly. There might be some loose screws that cause extra vibrations and make the drive even louder. I'd definitely keep an eye on it using the HDD manufacturer's brand-specific diagnostic tool to check up on the health and SMART status every once in a while. If the sounds worsen, please make sure you contact the reseller's or the manufacturer's customer support for assistance. If it's still within the warranty period, you should be able to get a replacement from them.

Thanks for the advice! I get that the noise represents how it should sound normally but I thought that meant while it was busy while reading/writing. So it's nothing to be concerned about even if it was making that noise essentially 100% of the time? I say was, because interestingly enough I just booted up 15 minutes ago and the noise is completely gone and has yet to return. While previously the noise started on boot. I ran full scans with Avira and Malwarebytes last night though they found nothing.
