Hello,
In the middle of the night I encountered my first BSOD. I first tried going into safe mode, that didn't work. I then tried rebooting from a previous version to see if I could do that. That didn't work. I cant log onto windows. I came on here to see if this has been previously answered. I read several threads where people mentioned to check the ram sticks to see if they were bad. I have 2x 8g G skill trident x ram sticks. I tried restarting without one of them, and then the other. I even tried the different ports. After my last attempt to restart my computer, it started cycling on and off like it was trying to turn on, but then would turn off. How screwed is my computer? Ive never tried problem solving these types of issues before. Here is what my computer has on it:

OS- Windows 7(cant remember which one right now, cant find the info)
Mobo- GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SOC
CPU- I5- 4690K devils canyon
RAM- 2x8GB G SKILL Trident X
GPU-EVGA G-force GTX 970
PSU- Antec Truepower 750W
My computer is just about 1 year old this month. Thanks for the help

Ok, I went through my computer again. I was able to stop the power from cycling on and off. Retried rebooting the computer twice alternating the RAM sticks. That didn't help it, unless both ram sticks are bad. Any other ideas?

Update- I ran memtest86 and there were no issues with the test, my computer passed. I repeated the memory stick test by trying all 4 slots with one stick, then both sticks in the appropriate corresponding slots, and even in non corresponding slots. I checked bios in between, and it looks like no matter what my bios info is only recognizing one stick of memory. I would assume that would point the mobo as the broken link? IF not, what are some other tests I can do to diagnose the issue?
