Specs:
Mobo:Gigabyte Ga-78lmt-usb3
Cpu:Amd FX 6300
Gpu:Gigabyte Gtx 960
Ram:2X G skill 4gb
Hdd:Seagate 1tb barracuda
Psu:evga 500w
Case:nzxt source 220
1 4 pin fan

1-is this compatible? (Just to be sure)
2-are there enough cconnectors for all the fans including the ones that come with the case
3-can you suggest a cheap 18 inch or bigger 1080p monitor?

Solution
Note that the second build Wayfall suggests has no HDD. If you add the one you wanted, this Intel build is almost 100 GBP more than your original. An Intel platform will be more expensive (and you won't be able to overclock it).
This is the build you've picked

I would not recommend you get this as you can easily get a Skylake build which is more powerful for a around the same price also you have missed out the Operating System and peripherals such as a keyboard & mouse.

I recommend this build as yes it is a£100 more but will last a lot longer with the current gen of games as the FX 6300 has very very old architecturer and will bottleneck in some game due to this even if it does have a high number of cores. A Skylake build which is way more powerful than the FX build

If AMD had released there ZEN CPU's I would probably be recommending them instead as they will hopefully be cheaper than Skylake.

You could also maybe reach a bit more and get a R9 380 or GTX 970 instead of the GTX 960.

Solution
Overclocking will give him hardly any boost, the CPU even struggles in Battlefield 4. It can not handle Fallout 4 or Witcher 3 for example as these are the first games that have actually shown people how much are hardware needs upgrading now due to how demanding they are.

2017 is going to be a year where a lot of people will want to get the GTX 1080 and a powerful CPU, the FX is not a CPU that is going to be able to handle 2017, it could barely handle 2016.
