Hi All-

I recently upgrade my system and parts are on its way.

CPU: Intel i5-6600k
MOBO: Asus Z170i Gaming Pro
RAM: GSkill Ripjaws V 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 2400
PSU: Corsair GS700
Cooling: Corsair H100i V2
GPU: Asus GTX 980

I have overclock my 6600k at 4,6Ghz (1.36Vcore) and i reach 4.7Ghz with 1.376Vcore
(My uncore is up to 3.9GHZ)

ALL is Okay, after 2h with Prime95 (V26.6) temp don't go further than 68°C with 4.7Ghz setup.

My question is: This is safe for 24/7?

Redoushi,

Welcome to Tom's!

What was your ambient temperature when you ran P95? Version 26.6 Small FFT's is the best test for establishing a valid thermal baseline because it's a steady-state 100% workload, but for stability testing, run Asus RealBench - http://rog.asus.com/15852014/overclocking/realbench-v2-4-launched-with-x99-support/

Unlike Core i 4th Generation processors, 6th Generation processors tend to run cooler, and i5's run cooler than i7's. However, I would recommend that you stay at 4.7 for 24/7 use, as I wouldn't push your Vcore any higher. Just another 100 MHz would require an additional .040 to .050 millivolts, and would put you at possibly 1.425, which is too much Vcore.

I think you're good where you are...

Thanks for the answer!!

Ambient temp was something like 21-22°C

And i think stay here with my 4.7Ghz (which is nice for a 3.5Ghz chips anyway)

Thanks again =) .
