connect 2pc via 2 different router for lan gaming

hi guys i am asking this coz my friend just popped a ? saying that what if we could play games on lan rather than online with our pc connected via a lan cable... the problem is we have a 60-70meter distance in our houses n we have diff tplink routers. is it possible to connect and have some lan gaming. somewhat like this

my pc ---> my router ---> lan cable 60to70m long ----> friends router ---> friends pc

Im not to network savy, But you can try something like this also.

Your PC ---> your router ---> 70m lan cable ----> your friends PC

or

Friends pc ---> Friends router ---> 70m lan cable --- your PC

This is just another idea, it isn't to say your way won't work, I'm kinda interested to know if your way will work. The way I suggested, you would be tied down to you using his internet or your friend using your internet if you want to watch or listen to youtube or something.
