I am looking to switch from AMD to Intel and I am not sure which motherboard would be a good choice or if even switching is a good choice. I have an AMD FX-8320 currently but I am not sure how this is going to hold up in the future as I am going to be upgrading my graphics card as well and I don't want to bottleneck it. I will probably be purchasing the RX 480. I don't know whether or not I should purchase a motherboard with DDR4 support as it is more expensive and not necessarily worth the money.

Solution
Your FX-8320 should do fine with an RX 480. If you were upgrading your GPU to a GTX 1070/1080 then you might experience a bottleneck, but not with a mid range card like the RX 480. Download and install MSI Afterburner and monitor your CPU/GPU usage with the RX 480. As long as the GPU is hitting 100% usage before the CPU cracks 90% usage then you don't have any bottleneck and a CPU upgrade would not give you any better performance.

Will the combination be able to run games on 1080p with 60fps?
