Hello! I'd like to know if the MOBO, GPU and PSU are compatible with eachother. Thanks in advance!

PSU: CORSAIR ATX 2.31 VS SERIES 650W CP-9020098-EU

GPU: MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G

MOBO: MSI Z97 PC Mate

I've had issues with the PSU not supporting the GPU's power pins or w/e before so i'd like to be 100% sure everything is compatible.

Dont mean to sound rude, but enlighten me on how its a poor decision? I'm not that smart when it comes to building PC's, but they seem fine to me.

Well the motherboard choice depends on the CPU, but the PC Mate is a pretty low end motherboard. There are better options for maybe $10-20 more that'll overclock better and be more reliable. The GTX 970, it depends on what price you get it for. $250 and below is fine, but with the GTX 1070 being out, it's a hard purchase. The 1070 costs more money as of now, but AMD has the RX480 coming out, too, that should surpass the GTX 970 in performance for $200 new. With new GPUs out/coming out, the 970 is not something I would purchase personally.

The Corsair VS650 is low quality. Not a reliable unit, if you want I can get into technical detail.

I'm planning to get the I5 4690K. I forgot to mention that i'm not buying the 970 immidiately, since my budget is not that good right now. My plan was to stick with my current gpu which is the GTX 660ti directcu 2GB. I suppose I could wait for the RX480. As for the PSU and MOBO, i'd love a recommendation. The MOBO itself in my country is already 95 euros, so i'm not sure if i can go over that..

Alright, I'll wait till August with this and i'll hopefully be able to buy this thing. I changed the I5 to the I7-4790K, and the MOBO to the asrock z97 anniversary. Now, i'd like to know what would be a better option for the PSU. Thanks for answering though, i really appreciate it!

The I5 is a better option than the I7, I was recommending getting the I5-6600K instead of the I5-4690K. With that the motherboard and RAM would need changed. But if it costs more for you, the 4690K will do.

What is your budget for a PSU, and where would you but it from (what sites)?

Alright, for the I5 6600K, I chose the "MSI B150GAMINGM3". I have no clue if this is an autistic choice or not, so feel free to correct me. I use an Estonian website to pick and buy my parts. Sadly I cannot buy anything from out of my country, so the site i'm using is the best option for me. Thankfully the I5 6600K is like 100-. euros cheaper than the I7, so my budget for the PSU would be around 60-70 euros or so. I'll hand you the website i'm using if you need it for any reason.

Might as well just show you the whole build, I think the other parts will be fine.

I'd like to say that i'm not planning to oc the I5, I don't want to spend another 60 or so euros on a new mobo so i can just oc
