My computer randomly reported that my 2 tb western digital needed to be formated, I didn't want to, but after looking up other solutions to get my drive to work with out formating, I failed. I formated the drive and now my computer is reporting that it's available size is 931 GB of space. How can I get my 2 TB storage back. Also is there a program that can help me get my deleted stuff back? Thank you in advance

This seems pretty unfortunate! :( I'm not sure how successful your data recovery attempts will be after reformatting the WD Blue. If you have stored any data on it afterwards, you might not be able to get your old stuff back. I'd recommend you to always keep a backup of your files stored somewhere else as well. Having at least two copies of it will protect you against data loss in the future. Can you please share a screenshot from Disk Management as @Hellfire suggested? This will help us get an idea of your storage issue.
