You'll be able to play TF2 easily @ 1080p (do note that games for Linux aren't as optimized). I would change out that GT 740 for a 750Ti, about the same price, but the 750Ti is much better. Other than that, the build looks fine to me.
 
not good at all in terms of part selection. you don't need a cd drive or you can buy one later. you need to spend money on better parts first. aslo almost every motherboard has built in sound. no reason to buy an add in sound card. you can get a lot more for your money.
