I currently have an fx-6300 and gtx 970 with 8gb of ram. I would like to switch over to intel and was looking towards the i7 or the higher end i5 and also maybe a gtx 980 ti. I just want to know where should be looking at cpu wise. I was thinking since the new xbox one s was announced I should upgrade.

I'm doing the same thing, I'm gonna get the i7-6700k 4hz For $315 at newegg. i would hold onto the 970 4gb, i have the same card and it's fantastic, maybe get a new card in 2 years
