Can i overclock my cpu with this cpu cooler?

You can overclock the CPu even with stock cooling, just it will heat up more. Luckily unlocked skylake comes without a stock cooler so you have bought one. What's even better that your choice is quite good. So yeah, you can overclock it. 4.00GHz is a speed you can easily achieve and the fan will do a great job at it.

No problems, just follow the major guidelines. First go to a slightly higher voltage and 4.0GHz, make sure it's stable and reduce voltage little by little until it starts crashing. Do a stress test after each voltage change. Once you find at exactly what voltage it crashes, increase it slightly and find the lowest, stable voltage level. This way you get the best performance and coolest running CPU.

yup i have a lot to figure out before i overclock. But i needed to know if it was possible before i went through the trouble of learning how to do it.
