Hi there!
I want to build my first pc in the very near future. This is the list of parts i intend on buying so far. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/
I am confused about what motherboard i need to buy and how much i need to spend for it to be off decent quality, preferably less that £80.

My next question is about windows. I can purchase windows 8.1 and update that to 10 for free? In what form/method should i purchase windows as it is very confusing and expensive to get wrong. I was planning on not using an optical drive but does that make instalation much easier?does this help with the drivers too?

I would like to ask about an ssd. On my laptop it boots up considerably faster on windows 10 using a hdd, is a small ssd really worth it?

Lastly, I plan on buying the amd rx 480 after its release, will this card be compatible with any motherboard and what is the difference between different power supplys such as modual and non, is one kind easier than the other for building?

If you have read this far, thank you for your time and any help/advice/suggestiond are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

For the full list of parts you have to set some kind of budget and decide on main use for computer. Windows 8.1 you can purchase but if you want to upgrade to W10 for free, you have to do it before July 29th.
SSD is certainly very good addition if only for OS and main programs/games. You can always ad a cheaper HDD for data and to install some games or programs. Difference SSD makes on desktops is not as striking as in laptops because laptop HHDs are slower than 3.5" ones.
It may be worthwhile to by Retail version of W10 home instead and that way you will be able to transfer it to any other MB in the future while if you upgrade from 8.1 it will be only for that MB.
Rx480 will still use standard connectors for power, so no problem there.
